electronic o2 "fixes" simulators, whatever, have been around for a long time. now the better way to do it is to put a spark plug defouler between your o2 sensor and pipe, and it'll allow you to pass nys inspection, and still not generate a code.

the electronic fix WILL cause you to fail nys inspection.
