i didnt know the numbers were going to be THAT pathetic from this facility... i could expect maybe 20-30hp varyance... but 100hp?.. the thing was just flat out a kick in the nuts man.i gained about 10-15whp over the cobb tune in the upper rpm band but lost some of the low end tq with the open source tune... all of which should be restored after i get my boost leak sorted out.

I see, and i'm saying by my experience with mustang to dynojet comparisons with his "corrected #'s" the car would be making close 500 on a dynojet...


The thing I think is most likely is that his dyno in FL. is calibrated to read numbers closer to other local dyno's so he isn't losing customers based on peak numbers alone.


There is one thing that's been seriously overlooked in this thread is...do you two like the way your cars run? Did the tunes make them feel better than b4? Peak number's are what everyone always focuses on but driveability is the thing that can make you love or hate your car.

honestly, im pissed about the boost issue with my car not going past 16.8psi ...the car is not at full potential and i feel like i wasted money on the tune and dyno time to end up basically where i started.

Very good point. However, it's not being overlooked. A person actually believing those #s as real would be very niave. I questioned even the "corrected #"s because I thought those were a tad low. If those were REAL, they both would HAVE to notice.

That being said, it still, IMHO, does not mean any tuner should give corrected #s just to compensate their poor dyno or to make their customers happy. The dyno jet I go to reads a bit low but the owner refuses to adjust the #s just to make the people happy. Multiple cars and multiple track visits show what the dyno gives out is what your car should be trapping and hence, what your car truely makes.

Im sorry also heres something I'm curious about. Doesnt Pete have a TD06 turbo upgrade...and is that fairly close to his power (the 291)

you are correct.. ask pete and jay though.. when jays 35r put down 415hp and a td06h 7cm 20g puts down 350ish... it reads low
