we don't all drive hondas... some of us actually know a thing or 2.. anyway you should prolly stick with a 2.5 all the way and if u really want to go big u should have it ceemic coated and wraped... and if u got a really big pair u should go catless

his ECU might not like that though.

i agree with the 2.5" sizing. What's your redline? How much boost does the supercharger run in stock form?

he still needs a correctly sized exhaust. Superchargers don't follow the same rule as turbos, so pipe sizing does make a diff. I dont know much about mercedes products, but take a look at some exhaust systems for that thing out there if you can find them. Then see if you can mimic their setup.

Shawn96VR-4 is an unknown quantity at this point

Find out what others are doing. There must be a forum for that car and follow the masses, they KNOW, we do not. Make sure you make sure to find out how your ECU reacts with cat mods so you don't CEL yourself and deal with NYS Inspection bullshit.

I am going with a 4" exhaust.

i wont pretend to know anything about this i barely know anything about my domestic mustang LOL ill tell you this much that 2.5 is plenty for a v8 with a super charger so i would see no reason to think that going bigger then 2.5 on your car would do anything but cost your wallet more money.. but these guys might be able to help you out if you have not checked here already and good luck with whatever it is your doing.

It really depends on a lot of things. You can't just blanket the statement around the fact that it's a supercharger. You must consider the flow.

yeah he's got to balance piping diameter with where he wants the majority of his torque production to be made.
The supercharger's only going to make its peak torque in a certain portion of the RPM band, so it does him no good to raise piping diameter that maximizes exhaust velocity outside of the range of the blower's effective range.
