I'm running super rich as well... I'll be around a 11.5-12.5 AFR once my 300+ whp tune is complete... Thats as lean as I can go safely. By safely I mean without causing damage in the long run. I could lean it out and get around 360whp but the EG temps will be too hot.

12 AFR is just too lean for pump gas. I didn't even notice that much difference when pushing from MID 11s to LOW 12s when I was "looking" for the difference. You make much more with boost/timing.

Those that run LOW 9AFR or less are just crazy. Yea yea, STIs run rich from the factory but LOW 9 AFR is just ridiculous and I STILL think cylinder washing/bearing smacking could occur.

From everyone elses experience with the SRT's, 12.5 seems to be the # to have... best was 329whp with reasonable EG temps, that same car had a best ET of 11.98, I dont remember the trap though...

I cant wait to get my APEXi A/F and Boost Controllers... need to get the exhaust on first though...

This is why Crazy wont be tuning anything soon. The car would barely run at 9 to 1 and certainly wouldnt at 7.2 . I wont get all mathmatical on you here... but The MAF makes demands that are in the 14 range, getting fatter as you load the motor... GM uses algorithms that help assist in fuel economy for non-load situations in many cases. Bottom line is the Atom has power left in it... I have no immediate plans in upping it, but I do plan to massage whats there. GM/Ariel has promised an update due to some configuration changes that occurred in the intake line as well as exhaust since there last revision.
Wheather I do it, or I wait is up in the air... and I change my mind like the wind. Thats just me.

yea i hear ya jason... but i do suggest in getting a set of the gauges.. they tell you boost, iat's, timing advance, knock, DTC's, actual speed, actual RPM's.. it's a very versitle gauge.. but heres the kicker

the gauges comes with 2 plug in's in the back of them.. one is for the OBDII cable and the other is for the LC1 wideband you can run to it to make the gauge your A/F gauge.. plus the LC1 comes with 2 out puts.. one for the gauge and the other can go right to the laptop and HPtuners can read it right off the gauge.. isn't it nice when everything works together

I have an LC-1, just put it on Trans Am. I like the multi-gauge you linked me yesterday to and plan to buy it for the atom.. wheres the best place to get it?

FTR On the dyno my TA gets tuned to like 11.5 to 1, as under the load of the street and aero it leans out to 12 to 1, or somewhat there abouts.

I will give you this,,, you are the eco / bolt on master of all. You need to make some coin and inact it. J Clark wants to race you straight line.

On pump gas? I don't go that lean on VP C16. Most tuners I know won't go that lean either. It's not worth the risk IMHO.

LC1-1 as in LM1's LC1 by Innovative? If so, I have a contact for you. I will call you tonight with the information.

innovatives kits are nice, and mike's a great guy to deal with, i'd definitly go with one of those widebands if you need one, doesn't hurt that he's only down the 90 in buffalo if you really need to hook up with him for some reason

yea the areoforce gauges are best bought thru the intense-racing site i liked as well.. make sure you get the dual set up with the dual connection cord. they give you a y wire so you can connect both gauges up at once to the obdII port. as for a tune.. 11.5 is still a good spot for the eco-tec's.. you'll be happy if ya get it there.. i'm mostly interested to see what size injectors they use stock in that set up
