the problem is how fast the the air is flowing from the intercooler...common rule of thumb is 300 ft/sec is max velocity....with to little your robbing HP, due to pressure drop and with to much your not allowing the intercooler to do its job....

he should have done alittle math before slapping that baby on...even i have done it myself bigger is not always better.....try using this here:

"Dry air has a density of 13.076307480840681 cubic feet per pound

Dry air at 0ºC has a density of 12.417423770565761 cubic feet per pound.

pounds/minute * cubic feet/pound = cubic feet/minute

So just take whatever conversion factor from above, and multiply it by your pounds/minute value to get cubic feet per minute."

just check the compressor map and see what the highest flow will possibly be from your turbo

WOW looks like I was on the right track with my original post. How do you like that for a dummy when it comes to turbos.

so you think my air may be flowing too fast for the intercooler to cool it down, making my motor suck in hot air, and therefore raising my overall engine temperature?

i ran my supra off 2" pipes and a stock intercooler to about 425Hp thats about the point i started having major pressure leaks

actually after looking around on the site today read over Moai's sticky thread....it will help alot when it comes to your induction setup

maybe your head wont explode if you actually read the posts in this thread.

They are talking about I/C pipes, not exhaust
