moai makes a good point i didnt think of that...i guess b/c most upgrade exhaust before going to a larger FMIC....i would do that or put the stock back on u can stay 2.5 but it will give u the restritive flow u need to keep cool and run strong...a stock srt should not go over 180-200 anything after that is pushing it...just remember u want that comfort zone...b/c if something does go wrong and causes the engine to over heat u wont have time to react before uve destroy that nice engine of your

full 3" turbo-back exhaust and 3" o2 housing... the perrin exhaust includes the downpipe. perrin exaust bolts together with flanges... any other downpipe i buy will clamp to the cat-back section.

Whats the difference between a 2.25" downpipe with a gutted cat and a 3" downpipe that goes down to a 2.25" anyway?

You'd notice a quicker spool right from the rip, just from the nature of the less restrictive exhaust path and ability of exhaust to escape the exducer. For awhile i ran a 2.5" DP off my 420a/2.4L turbo hybrid into a 2.5 CB(GT35R spool) then installed a 3.5" DP and it made quite a difference in the reaction time of the turbo with throttle input. Grantid my turbo was at the front of my engine bay versus the rear on yours(inverted 420a head) and thus the exhaust had a bit farther to travel and cool where a step down in the exhaust system diameter would have a different effect......

...miss my little 420a that could

I am no turbo guy but maybe it would help to get rid of the gutted cat and just put on a high flow they are pretty reasonable and should give you the best of both worlds a little restriction that your engine may be looking for and better flow that you want for performance. Most NA folks that gut their cats have issues if not with the rattling of crap in them with a clog as. Jerry mods cause jerry problems.
