I am new to the turbo scene, and I was wondering how to hook up the vacuum to the BOV. From what I understand, this is how I would hook it up (tell me if I am wrong). There is a nipple on the side of the compressor housing, that is connected to a nipple on the internal waste gate (stock turbo). From this line, I was going to "tee" it off and run the "tee" to the BOV. When I have the line back to the BOV, I was going to tee it again and run the line to the boost gauge. This is what I gather from the info that I have read. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Depends on how many nipples are on your BOV. If it has one, it goes to the intake manifold. If it has two, usually the top one goes to the intake manifold and the bottom one goes to the compressor side of the turbo but the locations can vary between manufacturers.
When I say intake manifold it MUST go after the throttle body. If you just put it on the intake it won't open and you'll surge the turbo.
yeah, you need vacuum and boost to make a bov work. you should hook your boost gauge off the manifold too so you can get accurate boost and vacuum readings.
Don't tee anything else in to the vacuum lines involved with your wastegate / boost control solenoid. Also, as a good rule of thumb, don't tee into the vacuum lines for your fuel pressure regulator... secure those lines and make sure they never come loose.
As Cavi Mike said, your BOV, boost gauge, etc should all be tapped off the intake manifold.

Very good advice.
Not a *TON* of vacuum lines to use in my setup but the ones that go to a boost related item or the FPR are NEVER tee'ed on. They are direct lines.
Also, never ever just put a vacuum line on a nipple without a hose clamp or zip tie.

And don't forget how to orient the valve if it's a recirculatory type. Boost on a recirc valve should force up against the bottom of the valve, not from the side port. The allows faster bypass response, good for small snails that gain/lose momentum really quick.....
