MR2 Makeover

Long time no post. I haven't got internet up in the apartment so this is a post from home on long island.

MR2 [whom I FINALLY chose to name "Enthalpy"] recently had an encounter with three large (30+lb) chunks of concrete, resulting in 2k worth of damage to the front end and rocker panels along the side. Frame is bent around the radiator, foglight is demolished, front bumper is hurting badly and lip spoiler and plastic panelling is gone. Looks like those pics you see on Nintendo when you lose a round in street fighter.
State was at fault since the concrete chunks were pieces of roadway torn up and laying in the middle of the road. Car is going to be fixed at Northway Toyota in the coming weeks. Maybe I can upgrade the front lip spoiler to a fatter one

Otherwise she's ready for AutoX. New exhaust, fresh suspension, new brakes and soon a new alignment. Bumper will be refinished and shot with a nice fresh coat of Toyota 3E5 Super Red and I'm going to see if i can fit up the larger 93+ front lip spoiler instead of paying twice as much to replace one half of the current two-piece 91-spec POS that's on there. Rocker panels will be completely straightened out and repainted and I finally get to fix that torn sidevent.

Thinking of painting the rims another color... Bronze or Black. The steel gray doesn't look gunmetal anymore, it just looks dirty all the time, even when its clean.

Well I think those are all the updates I've got for the deuce. She's finally going to look fresh and shiny after all this time. Maybe after about a month i'll finally get internet so I can post more than once a month.

Definitely gold, the gold wheels you had at the 8/1 AutoX looked sweet

Ouch, sorry to hear about the damage. Any sort of accident always sucks. I hope everything with the bent frame is fixed well.

Far as the wheels go, definitely get them in that bright gold like the volks. That would definitely be unique.
