Celtic1982citleC is an unknown quantity at this point

I'd recommend the krylon fusion paint. You paint it, give it about a week to set, and it not only coats the plastic but actually almost dyes it and is quite chip resistant. I've used this several times with great results.

I highly recommed staying away from anything out of a spray can. (No offense to anyone.) Spray can stuff goes on way to thick, and causes massive problems if you ever try to re-coat in the future.

Any flat black finish I suggest here is clear coated, so they can be maintained like normal.

The most expensive method would be "Hot Rod Black" by dupont. I think its part of the Hot Hues line. I'm not sure of the exact code off hand, but this stuff is a durable as normal base-clear finishes. The next step down would be to use normal basecoat, and normal clearcoat but with an added matte, or flatening agent. I have used this method a couple times myself and have been quite pleased. Again, both of these finishes can be treated just like a normal clearcoat finish.

Hope that helps, let me know what you decide to do.
