Detailed Image is an unknown quantity at this point

Anyone give their vehicles a complete spring detail yet?

So who broke out the detailing products and really went to town with their vehicles for the start of the year? If so what products did you use and were you happy with your results?

George

oh ya. I gave the evo the full detail for the 4/1 meet at JVG.

I claybarred late last season so I didn't need to do that
P21S shampoo
FMJ wax
Bold n' Bright tire shine/protectant
Armor all wipes for the interior panels
Carpets are stain free so they just needed a vaccum
Stoner invisible glass cleaner for the windows
Quick Shine (quick detailer, which is what I will be using the next few weeks until I clean it again)

you can see the pics of how it looks by viewing my "garage"

the rs already got a fresh wax a few weeks ago after the rain had cleared most of the salt from the roads

but with the recent snow, and salt, its dirty again, i give it another 2-3 weeks before i feel confident that the roads will be salt free and i break out the clay bar and polish

and anyone know of a good product to take almost etched on brake dust off my wheels?

Pete is on a distinguished road

I did, I did!

Started with the P21 shampoo, hit some stubborn areas with a claybar, then used the Klasse "all in one", finished it off with the Poor Boys carnuba wax
I also used the Poor Boys wheel wax, which helps a ton with keeping the brake dust from building up and gives the wheels a nice shine.

I started but it is taking forever. I have to get 5000 miles of fall Atlanta and back grime (and 5 weeks there) off. I started with a light cut 3M Perfect it II rubbing compound because the black paint is starting to look its age. I have done about 1/2 the car so far (by hand, because I am afraid with a buffer I will burn it). Then I can do the wheels (which still have track grime on them) and I should be all set. I like meguiars stuff for the paint protection.
