shiney Paris ;)

I KNOW I AM GAY, and MY CAR SUX.... if you aren't going to post anything nice DON'T post @ all...

OK, so today I spent 4 hours WASHING Paris Mudd came out of EVERY WHERE imaginable..... I pulled apart my inner fenders, well whats left of them....

Then I taped off my lower halfs and sprayed my Steel Grey Metallic,
I ordered NEW bumper front and rear, pre-painted the same Steel Grey Metallic....

This pic is immediately after painting the lower half.. YES the rear bumper is still primer, I will trash it when the new ones arrive...

Then I spent another 2 hours WET-SANDING both sides... And Sprayed 3 coats of Clear Coat on the sides, up to the windows.... And then it was dark....

I know it looks crappy ATM...

2moro I will be buffing everything smooth I have 3 different buffing compounds and a 10inch orbital buffer.. I expect my car to SHINE once again, It's already pretty shiny from just the clear coat, but it is not perfectly smooth yet...

I did NOT touch the rims...

In all seriousness, why didn't you follow the molding on the side of the car? They fact that your two-tone starts about 2" above that molding makes it look random, and just doesn't look right. I would get some black, and spray lower so that the two tone follows the lines of the car.

Its in line with the seams of the bumpers... I'm terrible @ making straight lines, and thats where the primer was up to... I was originally going to shave that off wit a bit of bondo, but I'm too lazy, and just want to be DONE with body work...

If I were to do this, where would you Tape it off :

in the middle of the valley of the molding?
@ the top of the molding?
@ the bottom of the molding?

I'd go right above the molding, cuz if you do it under, the black will get chipped often.

:-D I'll call ya Tuesday

I'm currently back to my stock catback, cause the 3inch was killing my TRQ, and my ability to kick it sideways on the dirt...

you'd like your car better if itd go sideways on dry pavement...with acceleration rather than hard cornering.
