Which region(s)???? Nice to see some members up here. did you guys get a chance to swing by Hershey this year and see the lineup. Some amazing cars and the gathering of 968's was impressive. Was a nice 968 RS Turbo there. Oh...and welcome
IMO...Spec Miata classes are just too saturated. Going to the Glen and seeing 60+ cars in a field is just crazy. Going ITA takes more funding for sure, but I think the fun factor for experienced drivers is much greater...

niiiiice Good to see a focused Miata buildup. Everytime I see a miata roll up to an autoX towing slicks, i just want to throw my keys in the air and say "forget it."
I miss Mass. Used to live in Hopkinton for a long time. Went to school out there before I came out here for college. I miss the MUCH BETTER roads and lack of salt!!

after living in rochester ny for 4 years it was nice to get back to MA.
i will pass the bmw club info onto my dad although i think he has a good idea of what events he wants to run, I am extremely jealous as he is getting into racing with Bertil Roos.
Here is some more info on my car:
Bounce frequency (Hz) front 2.31, rear 1.88
Roll stiffness lb-ft/deg 2927.8
Front roll couple (FRC) 66.7%
This means the car will under steer in some low speed auto-x maneuvers but should be very neutral and throttle steer able at higher speeds. To make the car a better auto-x car I would want to drop the spring rates to 500 giving me a
Bounce frequency (Hz) front 1.95, rear 1.88
Roll stiffness lb-ft/deg 2537.5
Front roll couple (FRC) 61.5%

Once school is out of the way, are you gonna stick around the Boston area? Yeah I see the car is apart but is it ever really finished... I still have the Corolla and the 200SX but after my friend crashed the latter I'm just gonna junk it. Besides, I have to make room for the E36(328) I bought a few weeks ago. I'll never get as serious as you with racing, if I even auto-x it's just so I can drive like I want without worry of being ticketed. I'll mod it if it's no longer satisfying me but I've never been very competitive with anyone but myself.

Well today and tomorrow I'm running around in a '94 Porsche 3.6 Turbo but as of right now I own nothing as I'm building a GTP/Group C style Porsche 962 replica to bomb around the tracks(and streets )
Even as a shop owner though, I have an utmost respect for my customers cars and don't go zipping off in them like most would think. I do have a few wonderful customers/friends like Justin and Mike Ferra, and a slew of Porsche nuts, that actually want me taking their cars after work and driving them around for awhile to ensure the work completed is ok and/or fixed whatever issue were there. Aside from that, the vehicles stay here at the shop. I don't drive what I can't afford to replace.
As far as racing this year, yea that's just a scarce as my wife and I just had a little baby. I am going to attempt to get out to do few PCA events in a '92 Porsche Carerra Cup car if I can make the WG events in July with Mike Ferra(owner) but other than that I'm time limited.
Here's the Carerra Cup for July
