Hey all, my name is Luke I'm a student at Northeastern and drive a miata I am setting up as an ITA car I plan on doing HPDE’s with it for a year or 2 so the few parts that are on the car that are not ITA legal will stay till I jump into racing.


So far I have done several events at Watkins Glen Lime Rock and NHIS. In a Boxster the miata should make its debut this year.


Here is the mod list:
Mod list (2007):
·ISC Racing delrin bushings and spherical bearings in the control arms and uprights
·Ground Control coilovers (eibach springs) 700/350 lbs/inch front rear
·Fat Cat Motorsports Fat shocks (a Bilstien mono tube body with similar to Ohlins linear pistons custom valved for my spring rate)
·Over clock ECU to lean out at WOT and raise the revlimiter 10%
·Mazda Motorsports motor mounts (rubber, 40% stiffer then stock)
·Mazda Motorsports differential mounts (rubber, 40% stiffer then stock)
·Swapped from stock 4.10:1 to 4.30:1 in the torsen rear end
·Converted to non-power steering rack
·LE tie rod ends to help eliminate bump steer
·SSR competition 15x7.5 under 10lbs each with correctly sized hub centric rings
·Exedy clutch
·Fat Cat Motorsports NB front shock tower mounts (front)
·Fat cat bump stops
·Flyin Miata rear shock tower mounts upgraded with Fat Cat bump stops
·Flyin Miata frame rail brace
·Flyin Miata light weight flywheel 9 LBS
·Flyin Miata brake upgrade kit: I now run HPS on the street and Carbotech xp10 (front) and xp8 (rear) pads on the track, braided lines and super blue
·Tilton adjustable brake proportioning valve
·Racing Beat front tubular sway bar 1 1/8 (stock rear bar)*
·Racing Beat front sway bar brace
·Racing Beat adjustable endlinks, swapping them out for spherical end links (gear heads)
·Racing Beat cat back
·Racing Beat front lower control arm brace
·Racing Beat ULTRA ignition wires
·Cowl cold air intake
·Hard Dog m2 4 point roll bar with Custom Formed High Density Padding and cover
·Falken Azenis tires for street
·RA-1’s for the track
·Timing advanced to +14btdc
·Redline fluids in transmission and rear
·Sparco pedals
·Corner weighted
·Track alignment
·Hard top with bolt down kit
·Removed soft top
·Fire extinguisher
·Modded stock seats, but I am moving to racing seats, 6 points and a hans when I cage the car as early as 2008.

Maintenance items done winter 2006-2007 (76,xxx miles):
·New alignment (cam) bolts
·New upper control arms for the upper ball joints
·New lower ball joints
·New master cylinder
·New bearings in the diff
·New hubs and carriers
·New axles
·Assorted pulleys and belts to properly remove the power steering pump
·Converted FM mounts FCM mounts and the ground controls for the new shocks
·New rotors
·Westco battery (sealed)

thanks for the warm welcome. the car is still on jack stands but should be back on its wheels this weekend, all the hard work is done just have to finish up and check everything out. i got a deal on the hard top and was going to paint it black ASAP but its starting to grow on me, if i dont have it painted by summer Im sure it will be painted next winter.

anyways here it is before i tore it down and rebuilt the suspension

Welcome! Nice to see another track rat. Your Miata sounds like it should be a serious terror once you get it out there!

How do you like the Boxster on track? My Uncle has a Boxster S and I keep trying to get him to take it out or let me take it out.

Just curious, why ITA and not the older Spec Miata classes? I would bet Spec would be cheaper?
