New guy, old z's here
Hey there, I finally activated my account and figured I would introduce myself. I am brian and I own 2 nissan 300zx turbos. One is an 86 and the other is an 88. Some of you may know me from the other sites. I live in rochester these days. Currently both of my cars are running on foot power but both should be together by sometime in january depending on witch way I am going to go with each car. I drive a 03 cavi daily. I will post more in a bit.

No, I have always been a sucker for the z31 but I think that my next project will be a 240z with a ls1 swap. A guy in my z club has one and it is pretty sick. I would probably have to turbo the ls1 of course. Anyways, Here is a pic of my black 86 turbo. It has a 3 in turbo back exhaust, ACT race clutch, mbc, electric fans, N/A motor(9:1), stock t3, polished/Painted tt rims, 200zr hood scoop, etc. It ran a 14.3 on stock boost with a 2.4 60 ft time. On the second pass I blew part of the head gasket and limped her home. I am probably going to put a rebuilt stock engine back in and sell her in the spring. Not quite sure though.

Here is a couple of pics of my white 88 turbo. I picked her up last spring for 2k with a misfiring engine. I had the engine rebuilt over the summer and am just finishing paying it of so that I can put it back in the car. It came with a 3.3 liter pathfinder engine, haltech standalone, t3/t4 60 trim turbo, intercooler setup, blitz blow off, spec clutch, blueprinted tt trany, heavy duty driveshaft, tt vicous diff, vacuum actuated exhaust bypass, illumina 5 way adjustable shocks/struts, tokico springs, bigger sway bars, all polly suspension bushings, 350z rims, 570cc injectors, adj. fpr, tt fuel pump and a 2 year old paint job with very little rust. I had the engine bored to a 3.4l, forged weisco pistons(9.5:1), jim wolf S2 race cams & springs, full head job, balanced and blueprinted, and a gutted upper plentum. The car dynoed 390 at 14psi the way that it was and I should be quite a bit higher than that this spring. I am still not sure if I want to go with a bigger turbo and put this setup on the black one but we will see.

Hey man glad to see you here! The white car was the one you were telling me about at my birthday right?

yes it is. It should be pretty sweet when its done. I don't know if I want to upgrade the turbo or see what she can do with the current setup. I will probably leave her the way that she is and get used to a high horsepower car before I go crazy.

Yeah, I went looking for you a little while after you came in and didn't see you. You had some cut girls with you. I hate that place but my friends wanted to go there to play darts. They charged us 9.00 for a picture of blue and we caught the bartender mixing beers in our pitcher. We even knew the guy. I won't go there again.

From what I have seen this seems to be a central ny web site. I live in rochester but my parents live in skaneateles and my brother lives in albany, I also have friends in binghamton and I grew up in liverpool ny just north of syracuse. It would be nice to meet some fellow gear heads in these cities and check out the car scenes. I am going to make up for not having a car last summer this summer. I loved the boulivard scene when I was growing up in syracuse and wouldn't mind getting back into it.
