i think it sucked... not very happy with it at all..... if your gunna see it make sure u take a lot of pot or be on a good LSD trip before u go cause thats they only way this movie would be fun

the movie was way to dark for my taste and just seemed like it lost the whole charm of the origonal

I don't think that it was supposed to be a direct remake of the original so if you went into the movie assuming that was the case, that is most likely why you are so disappointed. I would imagine its fairly decent, I think Johnny depp is a great actor.

no i wasn't expecting a direct remake... some of the changes made were good ones and helped to update the story.. but a lot of the changes made were ones that i thought should of stayed the same... many things that i liked about the old one were cut out of this one and a new side story line was made to cover the void... i wasn't a big fan of the side story line

Sounds to me like you were expecting it to be too much like the original. Isn't it called Charlie and the Chocolate Factory? I would think they named it that for a reason, instead of naming it Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory again....Just my 2 cents
