Pete is on a distinguished road

The next couple months

Well, the next couple months I'm going through probably some of the most hardcore training I've ever experienced.
I'm being trained by Ben White (aka "Showstopper"), who is a local powerlifting record holder, and semi-pro bodybuilder. He has bodybuilding competition a few months from now that if he wins he will turn pro.
Do a search on youtube.com and there should be some video footage of him.
He has been in a few magazines recently as well, but I forgot which ones exactly.

Anyway, we start this coming Monday, so I just got done eating ice cream, rice krispy treats, and some chocolate stuff that I forgot the name of. I figured I might as well get it out of my system now because starting Monday there's no cheating.

I'm currently 240lbs and his goal is for me to get down to a very ripped 200lbs. I honestly don't like doing cardio and I have a feeling I'll be doing a ton of it for the next few months, so I guess I better get my Ipod all filled up or something to help me get through it. I'm probably going to be pissing my brains out because he mentioned drinking several gallons of water a day.
I already eat pretty clean and take in quite a bit of water, but this will be on a whole new level.

Well, maybe I'll put up some before/after photos when it's over and if I really end up liking the intensity of this type of training/dieting routine, I may even consider competing.

I'm just really psyched about this opportunity and wanted to share.
Wish me luck..

I am at 180 right now at 6'2. I want to lean some of the fat I have out and ultimately weigh about 190-195.

Cool, I'm still hovering around 218-220, but i jumped so fast with the muscle increase, it was kinda disappointing. I've already lost of a ton of fat weight, but I'm much stronger than before. I don't thnk, I'll get below 200 just because of the way my upper body is built.

Once I started training martial arts again, my flexibility and stamina increased a ton also. That workout I described for the other thread on here is an awesome cardio workout, especially since you do it, without a break between those.

I may have to give that a try then. How many of each set are you up to now? I know you said start with like 10 of each and then increase, just curious roughly how many you do now. I think I can handle more than 10 of each of those to start out.

Lets see, last time I did the set was wednesday, and we did 20's. Normally I do 15s, and I'll stick in a set of 20's here and there. Started at 10s. I also do all the push ups at my knees, because it isolates the muscles a little better for me, and its a better way to start imo.

Give it a shot, we do that training 2-3 times a aweek, and I hit the gym 2-3 times alternating my upper body muscle groups.

I also bike for 5 mins before I work out, and run for 5 mins after I work out. That really seems to solidify the workout.

Yea, before the holidays I was going to the gym at work every day and running on the elliptical machine for 28 minutes and then M,W and F I would throw a workout in too, but I haven't gotten back into that swing.
