worst pain you've ever experienced?

whats the worst pain you've ever had?

for me, kidney stones, 6mm stone down a 2mm tube, took 2 days to actually pass it, about a month leading up to it of constant uncomfort, but those last 2 days were an experience i wouldn't wish on my worst enemy, and yes, there was blood involved, an no over the counter pain killer could do a thing for me (poped 5 aleve at one point, didn't do a thing) school doctors tried to tell me i had VD becaused it hurt so bad to take care of business

this is inspired by a similar thread on a larger forum i'm on, some highlights from that one

20 staples put in the back of the skull to close a slice to the bone on the scalp, no novacane

plenty of gal stone and kidney stone stories, along with bike accidents (mountain and motorcycle), bad capheter stories like not deflating the ballon that keeps it in before yanking it out

far and away the worst in my opinion though, i qoute

The catheter post on page 4 brought back a few memories from last year that i must have subconciously supressed, here's what happened....

I have to self catheterise to fully empty my bladder due to spinal cord damage (back on page 2or3) and i usually get very little warning when my bladder decides to dump it's load which can be a bit troublesome when out and about in public, i've been having to do this since i was 19 which is 15yrs ago so it's second nature and not something i ever think about.

I was at home chopping "Scotch Bonnet" chillies for a Phall Curry (feckin hot indian curry Tabasco sauce is given a scoville rating of 8000, Scotch Bonnet have a scoville rating of 350,000 - the 4th hottest chilli available) i was making and was trying to be carefull not to handle them as the capsicum oil soaks into your fingers and renders them a bio hazard lethal weapon that no amount of scrubbing will remove, anyway i was just about finished when i get the signal that my bladder is about to empty so i run to the bathroom, grab a catheter and insert it in seconds, i'm pretty quick at this coz i've done it 10000's of times but i soon realise i must have touched the end of the catheter with my fingers.....and the chilli oil is now spread up my urethra and the catheter is banging off my bladder wall.

Approx 5 seconds later i collapse to the floor with a yelp/howl which drew my neighbour in from her garden and she found me having a fit (or so she thought) on the bathroom floor with my pants and jeans round my ankles screaming like a banshee to call a doctor, it felt like i had a massive treble fishing hook attached to my bladder wall and someone was trying to pull it through my urethra, i was physically sick all over the bathroom and my bowels decided to join in the fun & games due to the convulsions (not pretty ) and the burning inside and my neighbour eventually had to drive me to hospital where i was treated with much humour and amusement over the three days they kept me in (v-nice student nurses though )

Probably broken ribs after taking a header while training (mt. biking). In a sprint, hand slipped off the handle bar, clipless pedals kept me attached and sent me straight down onto the handle bar ends. 3 broken ribs.

Same accident, dislocated jaw and a concussion. Equally as painful.

Dislocated shouder while doing pullovers.

When I shattered my Tib/Fib (lower leg, both bones) playing football. Although, I don't remember the pain through the haze of shock and morphine.

1. Gall stones getting stuck in my bile duct, constant pain and throwing up for 2 days straight. After day 1, I went to the hospital ER and they didn't know what it was until day 2 after an x-ray, CT scan, and then ultrasound.

2. First, second, and third time I had to get injections... in my eye. As most know, I had a very very bad eye infection, and one of the treatments was getting an anti-fungal, anti-bacterial injection in my left eye. The first few times I had to do it, my eye was so swollen, the novacaine had very little to no effect. So I felt the needle going into my eye, and I couldn't be put to sleep. The doctor just told me to 'look right' as he did it, and then I'd see some stuff shoot across and then he'd pull the needle out and I was set.

Nipples hurt, but wasnt that bad. Back in middle school playing football, I collided with a team mate as we were sackin the QB, he landed on top of my leg, completley ripping the thick tendon that runs from your heel to the back of your leg (archillies tendon, something like that). Yep, taking the school elevators were the bomb.
