At the moment, I'm a parts consultant at Saturn of Albany. Soon I'll finish my degree @ RPI in Aeronautical + Mechanical engineering and perhaps i'll be doing something like Ceebee. Man, A10's are COOL as hell.
For the time being, it's not a bad deal here. Essentially running the department under my boss, making decent cash and on top of that, playing with all the cool new stuff GM's coming out with. Astra, Sky Redline, etc.
It'll be nice to stock a couple Sky turbochargers on the shelf and get to fiddle with Direct Injection and VATN setups. One thing i've found is how incredibly well designed the Ecotec motor is. It's got more cross-compatibility with other variants of the motor than ANY other manufacturer I've seen and the parts are STRONG. Who the hell heard of a 4 cylinder motor with 12.5mm cam-on-bucket lobe lift capability on a stock head with no modification? Cams for 300/pair? Sheesh.

Let me know when you graduate Eric and if you really want to work up here, we are always looking for a few people for A-10 stuff (especially Aero guys because we don't have many here) because we have SOO MUCH work. (The only thing is your GPA has to be above a 3.0 to be seriously considered, but there are special cases)
I can definitely see what I could do to at least get you an interview. We have lots of other cool projects too other than A-10, mainly the Presidential Helicopter.

I'm a sales associate at Advance Auto Parts on Altamont Ave in Rotterdam. I also work part time / whenever I want to @ JVG. My job title @ Advance should be changing shortly though.

Well my job is nowhere's near as interesting as some of you but here goes. I'm a contractor for FedEx, being my own boss has to be the best part of the job. No one looking over you're shoulder telling you what to do. They pay pretty good, but then you also have to buy and maintain you're truck. Tires, brakes and oil changes are some of my biggest expences. I do what ever I can myself (ie. brakes, oil changes, Dif fluid, wheel bearings). Plus I always have the option to gain another route as volume increses, or if another contractor want's to sell out.

Some of the guys say they don't make much money, but if you do it right you can make out pretty well. I'm waiting to see what my income was this year from my accountant, after all my expences.
