did people forget how to drive?
seriously? there is not even a half and inch of snow on the ground and i saw 5 accidents in about a 1 mile stretch on 787..... FIVE seperate accidents in one mile! it looked like a gad damn war zone. What are some of these people thinkin?! we have a couple nice days and now all of the sudden everyone forgets that roads get slippery when there is snow on them?! OK now im guessing some of you are thinkin," well maybe it was really really slick" NO, i gave it the lil swerve/brake check to see how slick it was, it slid a lil but it was nothing like...omg its ice i cant even stand here without sliding away
people are idiots

I find it unbelievable that we have the # of accidents we do. I agree, people just seem to lose their collective cool when it gets a little slippery. God forbid they just slow down a tad and drive responsibly.

remember.... This is the north east... We are accustomed to driving in it... Down in virginia there would have been about 10-20 times more accidents in about the same stretch of highway

Those people never would have been out driving if snow was actually accumulating, let alone just blowing around. The world shuts down if theres a hint of snow.
The school near my sister's place in Richmond closed for 3 days because of 2 inches of powder. The entire week following the actual "storm" was above 40 degrees.

People often do forget how to drive. They usually remember everything a few seconds before they hit something solid.

you would think they would because that have to drive in it every yr. But nope. People just dont care, its as simple as that. If they did, they would take their time. For example, it took me 2 hours!!! to get from napa on old wolf road to kings road and back. The whole time everybody was going like 10mph ( which cmon you can go faster than that ) and yet there will still people tailgating and riding my ass. I tried to hit the gas to the batteries in the back of the truck would fall out and the person behind me would hit em, but I wasnt so lucky...

I've seen what a tractor trailer brake drum does to a mustang at highway speed, I'm willing to bet car batteries would be just as devestating.
