No, I understand exactly what you are saying. Obviously when it is one of your own, regardless of what it is, (baby, pet, car or whatever), you are going to have a biased opinion. In your scenario, of course I would lie to them in that case, but I didn't push my dog in front of these people and say "tell me how cute she is."

I do understand completely where you are coming from though. All I am saying is that I don't ask for opinions on my dog, I just get them. Usually when people willingly give opinions on stuff like that they mean it.
