Well actually, A red dwarf is simply a smaller cooler star, Not one that is dieing. A red giant is a dieing star. As I’m sure you know. When a star like our own, cools, it looses it’s gravital pull on itself, cools and swells up. Then one of three things will / could happen, she could fizzle out and call it a day. It could collapse in on itself and cause a black hole <a gravity pool> but of course our sun doesn’t have the mass needed for that, Or it could Nova. <again, most likely doesn't have the mass.
Now this new planet found is around a Dwarf star. So I wouldn’t say it will die soon.
More info on it.

BTW: Our Star is a dwarf as well. It’s just burning hotter.
also...

Correct, however, that sun is not likely to extend its lifespan by CREATING fuel or burning hotter without large physical change. In astrological terms, "large physical change" usually means death to life around it. If it were to blow off a few layers and leave a smaller, hotter core intact, it would essentially mean any planets in the vicinity would be toast. Additionally, you will not see an established star burn brighter over time without exhibiting signs of instability. It's not going to happen. If it does happen, you've broken the laws of physics or something external is manipulating the body.

See what happens when you assume?

Lets hope not....
Oil is carbon, which existed as life, before burial... (Alternative LifeForms scare me)
Last I knew, the fastest THEORETICAL ships we can design, are only capable of .4 light speed, and require a 200+ square mile Electro magnet to collect H2 atoms from space and create and explosion for propulsion, and energy for lifesupport... Not to mention it needs to be assembled outside of our solar system to avoid possible damage from external orbit Asteroids....
Not to mention the problems that life support poses... O2 recylcling, and self sustained food sources (basicly there needs to be a farm, very very large one)
Doubt we will ever see ANY kind of human transport travel mush past Jupiter in our lifetimes...
Also Communication with such a place is barely possible... If we sent data via Light (laser) then there will be a 20 year delay.... Bad enough that Mars is on average 6minutes away...

right, but thats not the statement that was made. I understand all that. The point was it's not a old dieing star. If you're argument was "All stars are dieing. I would have to agree and counter with "Everything is dieing"
and I somehow know that I would assume wrong
