Had an issue with my camera Any Help?

ok well i havnt looked into it yet, or even checked the booklet out. so i figured i would ask here untill i get some more time.

well i was sitting outside on the step trying to get pictures of the lighting bolts this evening.

im not sure what was causing it, but my camera would lock/freeze up on me.

normally when u move the camera away from your fave the screen would pop up, well it wasnt doing that. so i thought maybe i waited to long and it went on sleep mode, so i pressed the button to wake it up and nothing. so i thought maybe i batt died, but the green light for being on was still on.

so i switched it off, and the green light still stays on

so i finally took out the battery and put it back, and worked fine, the batt still is half full it says too. its did this like 4-5 times tonight.

Anyone know whats goin on?

for the record i have a Canon Rebel XTI (bought from B&H, not ebay )

hmm that's weird? I've never had an issue like that.

Did it show an error on the lcd? Like "Err 99" or anything?

Nope, when it was acting up the LCD screen went black, but yet the power light was still on even when the camera was shut off.

i just bought the camera in feb. its never been dropped or banged. always kept in the case.

Ill try it out again tomorrow and see how it acts, if this keeps acting up does anyone know if B&H would cover it?

I think they'll tell you to warranty it through Canon.
