wtf are you talking about? rings mean everything, its why you play the game, no one sets out to break records, they set out to win. You think Marino would rather have his records or Bradys rings? Plus all Marinos records are just about broken by Favre anyways.......who has a ring

Exactly, Marino is known as a guy with a fast release and a rocket arm who put up big numbers but never won the big game. So therefore no one cares about him lol.
Manning
Brady > Marino
Favre

i wasnt trying to say that rings dont mean everything cause i know thats what everyone strives for. I was trying to say it has nothing to do with making it to the playoffs cause dan made it plenty of times....just could never capitalize on it.

Rings don't matter as much as people think? I guarantee Marino would trade every record he has in order to have a Super Bowl ring.

right, but you have zero chance of winning a super bowl without making the playoffs, thats what its all about. The fact that Brady and the 2 Mannings are the only current QBs in the NFL on a current streak of over 2 years in a row in the playoffs shows that is not an easy thing to do.

You're wrong Walt. You're forgetting about the Seahawks/Hasselbeck I believe. Along with the Chargers/Rivers.

Im waiting for news on Jacobs, I hope everything is alright. Did anyone see the stat they put up during the game yesterday? About Eli and Peyton having the EXACTSAME record at this point in their career, and how it took Peyton 6 years to win a playoff game. That should shut alot of people up. Sure he ISNT Peyton, nor does he put up the numbers, but he has won just as many games as Peyton did at this time in his career, its funny, I dont recall the media trying to get Peyton out of town his first 3 years. The 2 most criticized guys in the NY media are Eli, and Arod. Arod is the BEST player in baseball and Eli is a winner who goes to the playoffs every year. If i wasnt such a big NY fan id wish these guys could go somewhere else and get the respect they deserve.
