I still cant get mad, they could be a basement dwelling team every year like the Raiders. Im happy to have a team that at least makes the playoffs every year and gives me something to root for other than getting the first pick in the draft every year.

Yea I haven't made it over to the Lions thread yet.
The Raiders aren't basement dwellers every year, just ever year recently since Gannon got hurt/retired. Once the Raiders get themselves a good steady QB, they will be a contender again. I obviously know you can't win them all, but Minnesota should have been a team that the Giants walked all over, especially without Peterson.
I was really just saying it to start some crap, which is why the face was at the end of the comment.

yeah its ok, Eli was really bad, the Vikings didnt really do anything offensively, they didnt have to I guess. The Vikings returned 3 ints for tds, when you have the game handed to you like that you usually win. Vikings arent that bad. They have a great run D and are only 1 game under 500, its not like they got beat by the Dolphins or the Raiders or something like that. The Giants injuries are starting to hurt them, not making excuses because good teams usually play through them but when your starting your number 3 RB you know things are bad. I think they should bench Burress, its getting to the point where he is hurting the team. I dont know how they can play without him, they have a terrible recieving corp but he cant do anything with his ankle the way it is. Hopefully they get Ward or Jacobs back this week, lets pray

Yea I hear ya. I am sure that the Giants will still make the playoffs assuming they don't let these injuries get the best of them. The Raiders still aren't eliminated mathematically.

I didnt say they had a good record, I said they were a decent team thats all. Eli had a bad game, no biggie its not the end of the world. I could just stop liking the Giants and be a Cowboys fan because they are winning at the moment, thats just too easy

I don't think anyone realizes how GOOD the Minnesota Vikings actually are. They have the best run defense in the NFL, a monster D-Line that can pass rush, secondary is questionable in coverage if there isn't any pressure on the QB but as shown today can make plays, and their running offense is far and away the best in the league. Their line dominates every team they play. Tavarius Jackson is only getting better as he gets more experience, also. I am not happy as a Detroit fan knowing that we're headed to the dome in Minnesota next week and that Peterson will be back in the linup. Going to suck. Their running offense vs our bad run defense and our passing offense vs their bad pass defense. Oh joy...and for the record.
Atanta W 24-3
@ Detroit L 17-20 OT
@ Kansas City L 10-13
Green Bay L 16-23
@ Chicago W 34-31
@ Dallas L 14-24
Philadephia L 16-23
San Diego W 35-17
@ Green Bay L 0-34
Oakland W 29-22
@ New York W 41-17
Only "bad" loss was @ Kansas City...and even that isn't that bad because Arrowhead is a very difficult place to play. 3 of their other losses are against the class of the NFC in Green Bay (twice) and Dallas once. They have a favorable schedule the rest of the season, and the way Detroit and the Giants have been playing...could easily win their way into the playoffs. I would NOT overlook the Vikings in the NFC. Crossing my fingers that the Lions can shake out of their funk and win at home next week to move back to 2 games above .500.

Yeah, its wierd, there pass defense statistically suck byt they definitely have 3 really big playmakers in winfield, smith and sharper. Id hate to see what the Vikings defense couldd o with 2 speed pass rushers like the Giants have, that would be scary.

Some people need to look beyond records and stats to know what a team can and cannot do. Vikings are a damn good team (Buffalo is another weird team that's got a crap record but not bad). But, they didn't need to play great when Eli is throwing like a retard. He is the streakiest QB (player even) that I have ever seen. I really have no words. But, teams win and lose all the time which is what makes football great. Hopefully they will bounce back.

yup, if you can keep eli in the game until the 4th he usually pulls through. They needed 2 YDs to win with 8 minutes left and they got it. His 2 ints were terrible though. Esp in the end zone, drives ya nuts. This season is getting bad with injuries, Jacobs is hurt and has been all year, now Ward is out for they year, they need a running game to survive.
