great advice on the service plans, on something like a TV it's a must have for me.

I've heard great things about LCoS as well. DLP is the biggest size per dollar of all the technologies. I was buying some speaker stands the other night and Circuit City has a Mitsubishi 73" DLP for $2800!!

by the time my basement is finished I hope we will have 80" available. I considered going with a projector and a screen but I'm not going for the dedicated theater look, more of a family room.

(I would put an LCD in my bedroom though)
interesting, you think LCD has more glare than a plasma? I've found quite the opposite affect which is one of the reasons why I went with LCD over plasma. I've found that most LCD's have an anti-glare coating versus plasmas which have a much shiner surface. With all the natural light in my living room I wouldn't have been able to watch tv without massive glare unless I closed the curtains

No sorry, thats not what I was saying, I should have been more clear. I wasn't including plasma in the discussion at all since I said LCD is better than plasma to begin with. I agree that plasma is the worst in terms of glare. I was merely stating that LCD's have more glare than projection, anti-glare or not. I never have glare issues with my TV, I can have the curtains open and the door open and its still easily watchable.

Hmm, I have had no issues at all with mine. Its hard to beat the "value" of a DLP/LCoS TV these days though. You can get some monstorous TV's for the same price as like a 37-42 inch LCD.
