So after a week of taking cold meds for a chest cold...last night I finished decorating the x-mas tree with Tina when suddenly i had a flutter in my chest and a racing pulse accompanied by a numb/tingely feeling in my body. Great...

Off to St. Peter's we go in the ice and crap. After my ekg/cardiogram, x-rays, pee pee test, and blood work...turns out my ticker is a-okay. However...my blood work showed I have a defecient thyroid. Shit

So after 4 hours in the hospital last night, I had to goto a family care physicial this morning where they promptly stole a bunch more of my blood to re-run and confirm the results from St. Peters before perscribing anything. Ultimately, they think I have hypothyroidism which means my thryoid is a lazy fuck and doesn't do its job. So I'll have to take a T4 supplement for the rest of my life so I don't drop dead. Cool. No problem. The only annoyance is in the meantime I feel like a run down turd. Little enthusiasm and less energy. Feel weary and tingely and just not normal. They say I may notice a slight difference in the first 1-2 weeks after being on the medication but the average person isn't back to normal for 1-2 months. Yay for me. The best part? NO ALCOHOL. NO CAFFEINIE. NO "UNNECESSARY" SUGAR. FUCK

Taking away beer is like saying I can no longer breath oxygen. Good news? Once my T4 levels are back to "normal" I can "casually" consume alcohol but can not get "drunk" because it can adversely effect my T4 levels and effectiveness of the medication
That's my night. Thank you for reading. I hate thyroids.
