Its a lot different when you're doing something you enjoy. I won't mind thursday and friday when i'm out in CT at an exotic car dealership counting ferrari's and bentley's to do an audit, but other days when i'm stuck in my cubicle with nothing to do except free cell the time drags and i'm just tired when i get home. The conditions you are in to make a living and be an adult do have an impact on your social life

But that kinda brings me back to the topic, if you're happy with what you're doing the day will go much faster and you'll have more energy to do what you want at night. Your REAL friends will understand that life isn't like college. You don't go boozing and partying every weekday and even harder on the weekends. Sometimes you actually have a life and responsibilities, a girlfriend and other hobbies that will mean you see your friends less often. Your real friends will understand that, because true friends aren't only looking for drinking buddies and TRUE friends will never hold you or people you love up to ridicule, especially in public, to make themselves look hardcore and you look like a pansy.

I had the job that brew took over and I will be the first to say, I will put that up against anyone's "hard week" any day of the week. When he says he is literally moving around 10 hours a day straight, there is no exaggeration. He owes none of you any excuses and I think you all owe him an apology. Any friend who understands what friendship is outside of a bar, would grasp that. If you still think he is all the things you've labeled him and his girl, I'd shake his hand if he dropped every single one of you and did his own thing. You've all managed to come off as jealous, self-righteous bitches and none of you have shown yourselves worthy of his friendship with what you've said about him here.

i was waiting to see when you were gunna show up... you know exactly whats it's like b/c you were where i am for over a year... i've been back in that postion for a little over 2 1/2 months and i feel like shit every day i go into work.. i feel like more shit every day i get out

guys this is nothing like my last postion.. i don't wake up at noon anymore and stroll into work anymore... it;s 5:30 i'm up... 6:15 out of the houe and getting body orders ready and shipped out by 7.. then after the first wave of shipments is done i get to recieve in over night shipments of parts, sort them, label them for customers, and then either inform services that a customer parts are in or get a body shops parts together.. then onces thats over and out the door i get to answer phone calls from more body shops, random customers and the techs... techs don't care how many things your doing at the moment they want there parts yesterday, so you have to drop whatever you are doing and pull and bill ll the parts for the techs, then go back and try and find your spot as to what you were doing.. now granted if it takes longer then 10 mins to do this the techs go off and whine and bitch to the manager who comes over to me and tells me i'm not doing enough and i'm being to slow... starting to see the trend here... this is only until noon.. i still have 5 hours left and guess what, i'm not gunna beable to take a lunch break or even get lunch b/c the last 3 hours of counter sales normally result in atleast 1 or 2 mis-billing issues caused by the 2 retards who work with me... i get to play clean up guy for an hour trying to figure out what they fucked up and how to fix it... then after thats finished i have to go and explain this problem to the back office so 65 year old women in the back who looks like your grandma doesn't come to me wanting my head on a stick.. by theis time our transfer have come in from our north store so i now have to repeat the proces this morning except i have to do it in 10 mins not 2 hours, oh did i mention that this is also while the shop is the busiest so not only do i have to organize out the shipments but i have to go back and help the guys at the counter 2 b/c we are normally 3 to 4 techs behind in handing out parts b/c EVERYONE gets there big jobs of the day at this time.. so i'm now doing like 3 jobs all at once... finally around 3 or so it clams down to the point where i can start to organize and get an idea of where to send our driver for the next day while also checking stock on parts (tires/batteries/chemicals) and ordering more if need be... then at 4 i start to look over the days invc and make sure i have all the lose ends tied up so i don't catch shit for it tommorow from our back office/customers if something isn't right...

-fedex ground and express
-recieving in
-ups
-dhl
-fedex
-distribute all mail thruout the building to whomever it came for
-take phone orders from body shops
-take phone orders from customers
-take counter orders from customers
-diagnoise cars over the phone to stupid people/shops
-inform sales of any and all updates in acessory parts and products (not just from gm but from everyone)
-organizing body orders
-organize and planing out our drivers route everyday
-helping both of the other parts guys to figure out what to do or how to do something
-cleaning up both the department and the paper work


i'm not saying i've got the hardst job in the world cause by no means do i... i am saying tho that i'm 21, i have a manager who comes to me for answers, i have a person under me who has handend out over $1,200 in parts and just "foregot" to bill them out to the customer, and b/c i've been the department the longest i m the one that gets the brunt of every criticisim from everyone else.. i'm sry for you guys that i don't come out anymore but when i come home take off my shoes and all i can think about is dinner and bed, there is not a lot of energy left over for fun or changing and going BACK out after spending in hour in traffic just to go from central ave to exit 8 off 87.. i come home and am emotional beat up every day, now you guys don't see me i apologize for not coming out more but i'm just to beat up to even want to move much less come back out to go drinking or what now... now i know every wed is sutters but with christmas going on i didn't have a lot of spare money to go out with so ontop of not feeling like it i didn't even have the money to do so anyway.. and now that it's past i'm hoping i might have some money again, but when it all comes down to it, it' the fact that i'm just to damn tired to come back out


wow an hour later and thats turned into quite a long rant.. apologizing now for it being long i just kept writing and i wasn't really thinking about how long it was... i just don't know how to convey to you guy that i'm just to beat up day in and day out that i just want to come home and pass out.. i'm not trying to take away form what the rest of you do all day, because i know that we all work hard but when all i'm trying to do is try and maintain a little bit of sanity by trying to not over do it, and i catch is shit for not being around.. i'm sry guys but i just can't do that to myself

there were numerous times i wanted every dept's head on a stick, but i don't think barb will bite you too hard, and i can't imagine seeing james in person everyday after having to just listen to him bitch every morning so i don't know how you do it bud haha
