I think you guys should be saying the Giants D did it, not Eli. IMO, he got VERY lucky at the end of the game where somehow he got out of that sack and then David Tyree somehow held on to that ball that was thrown up in desparation. David Tyree should have been the MVP if it was anyone on offense, not Eli, because without that amazing catch, the Giants probably go on to lose.

Eli has been taking heat for 4 years, He deserves it as much as everyone else and has america eating 4 years worth of crow right now. The defense was great! Eli deserved the MVP he had 2 4th quarter TD drives and led them down the field to win the game. The Tyree catch was amazing but Eli avoiding the sack and getting the pass off was equally amazing IMo.

I agree, and I did not think Eli would get out of that, but I also think out of the two, the catch was more amazing than getting out of trouble.
Eli had a so-so game IMO. Yes he had two 4th quarter TD's, but at least one of those was practically given to him. I really think the D deserves a lot more credit than Eli.

I have no idea how avoiding a sack is luck. He fought his way out of that sack. Complete skill. The catch was amazing, still dunno if I'd call it luck. If it did some crazy shit like bounce off a lineman's helmet or hit the back of a defender and somehow get into the hands of a GIANTS receiver than I'd call it luck.

exactly, Eli more than deserved the MVP, no one said he played great but you know what? when he needed to go down the field and win the game, he did.

Well I really only call it luck based on his play all year. From what I have seen, he usually don't respond very quickly to pressure like that. (I admit, I haven't watched a ton of their games though)
I thought Tyree's catch was luck, basically because he had it pressed against his helmet. Maybe it was all skill...who knows. Either way, the Giants outplayed the Pats when it counted yesterday.

The offense did what it had to do which was produce more then the patriots and the Defense one the game. It was probably one of the best displays of teamwork I have seen the the Giants earned there way through everything they werent suppose to. Good for them. Its tough to pick a single MVP when they played that well as a group. Any one think what the game would have been if the patriots kicked a 49 yard field goal instead of going for a 4th and 13 in the first half. That was the most rediculous decision I have ever seen.

hahaha... I totally forgot about that call. 49 field goal in a DOME!!! kick the damn thing. If Tynes can hit a 47 yarder in snowy -2 degree weather than any other pro kicker can make a dome kick under 50 yards.
