Mike, you know I respect your father greatly. I really wish him the best of health and recovery. I know how tough times like this can be, so believe me when I say you have my support. I'm sure they'll be able to help stabilize him and set him on a good path to recovery. Stuff like this usually brings changes with it, either in activities, diet or other things. All you can do is be there for him and support him. Best wishes to your mom and especially your dad. Keep your head up.

i've meet your father over 2 dozen times atleast and everytime the only way he has ever treated me is as another one of his sons.. He's a very smart and very outgoing guy and even tho he has few posts on here that has given him a "bad name" but to the people who know him, know that he was just sticking up for his son and that to him is all that matters. Your father is a very good person and i truely hope him the best for him now and in the future. i'm sure that with the type of support around your father from your mom, eri, and yourself he will turn things around this will become the beginig to a long and healthy life. If there is anything that your family needs and i can help you with don't hesitate to call me and ask.

Me, Eri, Andy (lolrsk8r) and Christian (wht rice) went to visit him last night and he seems to be doing better and he's in good spirits. They said he should be out by monday, but once home he can't do anything. He will still need to rest and everything...

Sorry to hear about your dad. What drug did they give him which you say triggered the heart attack? The pharmacist in me has to know... There is a federal reporting site for drug related adverse effects called medwatch... your dad should check it out when he feels better. This is one of the only ways we know to help the good drugs stay on the market and the bad ones get pulled or not chosen (by competent physicians of course)

best of luck in recovery Mr C

Well my dad is back home... He went home this past monday, but they sent him home with oxygen because his oxygen levels would drop if he moved around too much...
mustang, I think they gave him pregnesone (sp?) and some antibiotics, as well as some medicine through a nebulizer. They said his heart attack wasn't a classic one but more one based of demand. The heart got very stressed and released the enzime that is signature for a heart attack, I guess.
all in all, it will most likely be a lengthy recovery, and his lifestyle, diet, and everything is going to need to change with it...
