Operation Nursery underway

Well this past weekend we starting working on the baby's room. We ended up getting the room painted and put up the wallpaper border. We have a few other things that we are doing to the room, but we can't do them until we get the crib in, which will be in about 5 weeks or so. We also bought the changing table and put it together, its one of the ones that goes in the corner.

Anyway, here are a few pics of the progress. It might be kinda hard to get a good feel for the colors, but you get the idea.

more power to you, but I'd never paint a room for my kid (whenever that happens). It'll take awhile for them to grow out of it (6-7 years I guess), but they will grow out of it and you'll have to do it all over again. Then they will get even older and it'll have to do something different yet again... ahhhh.

paint looks good with wallpaper

To be honest, it doesn't really take that long to paint a room. We took our time with this room, but we could have easily finished it in one day. (With two coats and the wallpaper) I also had to put a coat of primer on the wall because it was orangish before.

Also, we won't be in this house by the time the kid "grows" out of the design. Trust me, when you find out you are going to have your first child, your opinion might change. Just look at how much time you spent on your bar....

I hear you though. I just went on a little mini rant about redoing rooms every few years for a kid. Which seems like a nightmare at this point since I just remodeled both the extra bedrooms within the past year. Bad timing for me, haha.

you are probably right.... but I wont outgrow my bar

Before I was born my parents wallpapered a room for me. They thought it was ducks flying around - they neglected to notice the hunters and the ducks "falling" around. Quite a traumatizing childhood.
