you would be amazed to see all of the flashlights hydrotech owns, LED maglights, and mini torches are insane. It took me longer to read your write up then it would have taken me to totally disassemble and put the the mag light back together!

I'm still a bit partial to halogen for my uses. I use lights in the outdoor (headlamps and bike specific setups mostly) I find that although the battery life of an LED is insane and it does put out a nice white light. I find that the halogen produces a more natural light and picks up on terrain features nicer. However I use both. Generally a halogen on my head and an LED backup on the bars.
