Actually the FAA was telling him to land on that runway he said it was a bad idea. Tried to land because he was ordered to almost crashed saved the plane proved to the people in the tower that the runway should be shut down and then landed on a different runway perpendicular to the first runway so he was going into the winds. If you ask me hes a pretty damn good pilot for saving that plane.
