Well I decided to use up some of my PTO so that I wouldnt risk losing it when they do decide to end the PY PTO year. Unfortunately my vacation was spent working harder than I do at work... lol  . This whole project started about amonth ago. Our living room had a really ugly old style wood paneling that just was not working at all with my projector (vertical lines will kill a picture). Well I was hanging some dvd racks one day and the paneling started to peel back and I saw what looked like drywall behind it... which made me quite excited thinking I could actually just pull the wood paneling off, throw some spackle at it and some paint. well I was quite wrong. As we started pulling the paneling off, we soon realized that it was not drywall, but an old style wall that they did way back when. Basically its a bunch of horizontal boards that they then put a mortar style cement onto and cover it with some paper. It was in horrible shape... one spot was full of mold from a water leak some years ago. Well all of that old crap had to go and we ended up having to re-drywall the entire room. At the start of this week, the demolition was done, and I was just starting to drywall. So with my "vacation" time, I ended up not only finishing the living room, but also decided to repaint and remodel our spare bedroom (it was a really nasty yellow color when we moved in... you can see the old color in some of the pictures b/c i still have some touch-ups to do). I am currently working on getting the projection paint for the screen (currently still in blue primer). Let me know what you think... this is my very first remodel job, and I think I did pretty darn good.. lol.

cant have any movie nights or parties just yet b/c the rest of the house is a disaster... we basically have been throwing everything into the bar room, so there is an "aisle" to each room, and thats about it.. lol. Hopefully I'll get it all cleaned up between today and tomorrow.
cant really tell by the pictures, but both rooms have brand new carpetting as well (the spare bedroom is just an 8x10 throw rug cut to fit... not an actual wall to wall).
