My new ride

Just picked this up, has a newer "AC delco" engine 5.0 V8 with 33k miles, trans. rebuilt in 2005. Lift kit.

Needs a new windshield, work on the tailgate, and some something to tighten up the steering a bit, and a new oil pan gasket apparently. All in all I think its a good buy for $1200. I bought it to be a daily driver/tow vehicle/winter car

Ill have to take you up on that. First thing is a windsheild, can you get that?

I guess ill add some more stuff im just remembering. The 1200 for the truck included the following:

full rockford fosgate system, 2 10"s in a ported wood box, amp, 4 speakers
Soft top
remote start
Uhaul certified towing hitch
electronic towing control for trailer brakes I assume (gotta read up on that)

So yea, not bad for an 86 with less than typical body rust.

nice truck. as far as the steering goes check the rag joint in the steering shaft they tend to go inthose especially when they are lifted it is not a expensive fix but it is a mother to do just a warning pack a lunch lol. good luck with the new toy! you could probably put the delsol in the back of that truck no need to tow it at all!
as for the windshield give triumph 518-464-0265 auto glass a call they were the cheapest when I was getting glass for the 55 and they do good work. I tried safelite 1-800-800-2727 but they are a bunch of screw up took them 3 times to bring the correct glass for my car and 2 weeks of frustration with their incompetence. here are a couple others but they could not get glass for my car
speedy glass 518-453-9065
quality glass 518-272-4641
glass doctor 518-438-5898

I had the sheet with all their numbers on my desk here so that should help save a couple minutes of hunting through the yellow pages.
