It can be done pretty easily actually. Especially with a gear swap. Someone else on this forum, 2fast4u, had a 4 banger with 33's and with new gearing it wasn't any slower than stock. You can't beat the approach and departure angles of the wranglers which is why they are so good off-road.

i know it would have spun them, just prolly not as fast as a v8 once they're buried in 2ft of solid slop...and i need to be sure innocent bystanders get thoroughly douched in mud...

Eh, Thats what 4-Lo is for, you get so much torque, even in the 4 banger. We went off-roading many times with people with a K-5 Blazer on 38's I believe and if I remember correctly, we actually had to pull him out once.

finally got the swampers on the Yukon...35x14.50x16.5's...with no lift and no rubbing. this will work till i can get a little body and suspension lift in her
