I wouldn't completely disagree with that statement. Some of it does seem pretty cheap, but like I said, its got some cool features and 26mpg around town is awesome. Plus its my wifes car and she really likes it so thats all that really matters. I kinda like the styling too.

Not putting you or your car down, I'm not a fan of them because of the interior... just seems very cheap. A lot of the new chrysler vehicles seem to be going to that cheap plastic-ish interior though...

Well at least its not a neon.....
Honestly, I don't care how "cheap" the interior is, I got the car brand new for less than $17k and it has a lifetime powertrain warranty, plus on top of that it gets 26mpg around town and over 30 on the highway. I honestly didn't expect you guys to think too highly of it, but I figured I would post it up anyway.

hey man a new car is a new car, cant knock that, like my scion, i bought it brand new for 12k in 04, ive put almost 100k on it I have no problems and have had to replace nothing aside from brake pads and an air filter. Theres not many people from 2004 to now who put 100k on there cars that can say that. oh and i get 38mpg too

Yea. My next DD is probably a Camry or Corolla. We rarely drive down here anyhow.

Yea I hear ya. I actually like the Corolla S quite a bit for some odd reason.

So what's the fine print on the lifetime powertrain warranty? You gotta take it to the dealership for every time you get it serviced, right? Including oil changes?

You basically just have to have proof that you followed the service schedule laid out in the owners manual, so just keep receipts and whatnot. As far as oil changes go though, I actually won't mind taking it in because every other oil change is free at the place I bought it. Plus the mail out coupons once in a while. Even without the coupon, they charge 30 bucks for the oil and filter, so when you factor in every other one free thats only 15 bucks per oil change. You can't do one yourself any cheaper really. I could also care less what oil they use because they have to cover anything that goes wrong with the powertrain since they are going to be the one doing the service so they have no one to blame but themselves at that point.

Haha, its kinda funny that you say that...guess what they did do though?!?! Only one out of the 7 window switches had the little LED that lights them up. (Just the drivers window)
So this past weekend I fixed that situation and wired up some Red LED's and it looks MUCH better. (The one light was green so I removed that and replaced it with Red as well obviously)

Haha, she was getting nervous with me messing around with the electronics of her brand new car though. We also put a bug shield on it and new winter type floor mats! (The floot mats look really cool though, they say Caliber on them and they look almost like a tread pattern)
