Corey, I still think you should save up for the Genesis Coupe when it comes out what? End of this year or early/mid next year? Kinda what Im leaning towards right now to stick with the Hyundai name. Who can say no to a RWD 3.8L V6 300+HP? I can't

Second, I never talked shit about any of hyundais cars and maybe if you could read you'd see that the very first sentence in my first post was commenting on how much I LIKED the tib.
Third, you commented on JDM and then mentioned a JDM car when you in fact have a korean car.
Fourth, you try to correct me by stating that tuscani means shark which shows how little you know about even your OWN car.
|
Basically, the car is called the "Tuscani" in it's home country of Korea, which is in fact KDM. When you said that you "lost respect" for Tibs when he said this, is the reason why he compared it to Honda and the JDM movement/trend/culture/meanstomaking$5badgesselloneBayfor$70.
Blacked out, no spoiler, KDM badged, soon to be turbo Tuscani >> Pretty much every Cavalier I've ever seen(not to knock yours)
Shark/Tuscani comment.....Your on your own bro.

So to surmise:
$Thousands in performance parts.
$couple hundred in cheap piggyback electronics to "tune it"
"respect" doesn't keep motors together, you idiots. proper tuning does. Way to lose focus on what actually matters to his CAR.
I vote third full power pull. Cracked ringland, minimum.

theres a tiburon tuned on just an SAFC running 441 WHP for over a year now...i dont plan on anything near that (prolly only 275 for right now) so...i think your estimate of three pulls may be just a TAD off.. and when i wanna upgrade (most likely next winter) ill be doing a Hydra EMS so...thanks for your input..

good luck getting a hydra to pass ny state emissions inspection.. it does not replicate readiness monitors within the ecu thus rendering your car useless....unless you put it back to stock every year for your inspection... heh.. that should be fun.

I can yak out 700whp on one pull, if it's just ONE pull. For what you're planning on doing, the SAFC is a dangerous little toy to have. It may work fine on an NA tiburon to a point, but using it for forced induction tuning is purely irresponsible.
If you wanted to do a piggyback type unit, the least I'd recommend is an eManage ultimate, so at least you had control of your timing instead of just your fuel. These days you could sell that SAFC off for a couple hundred and pick up the eManage for another couple hundred. All the SAFC does is simulate a lower load signal to the ECU, usually based on the airflow readout, which in turn leads to increased timing as the targeted area moves to a lower load cell on the map. Lots of timing, a leaner mixture, some boost and pump gas, at WOT and high RPM's is a good way to crack a piston. Just think of a red hot jackhammer hitting your piston.
That's my input. Just trying to make you aware of how easy it is to blow up your setup with what you have. Do what you will.

heres the issue guys...noone makes good tuning for the tiburon yet..and there are PLENTY of S/C tiburons running 3-400 on the same tuning as i have listed...if i blow my motor...we have a sposor on the tiburon site sells motors for around 650...so its couple bucks lost and a lesson learned....

The only way you're gonna tune that car right is with an AEM EMS, and then it becomes a race car because it won't pass inspection.
