Their Jetta must not have been prepped...cause the 2.5 defenitely is more snotty than the 2.3 w/o question. For 08 the 2.5 is 170hp/170tq and runs really nice in either the 6 spd tiptronic or the 5 spd manual. Neither car is gonna light the roads on fire by any means, however.

Yeah. The 3 I have is ~157hp and about an equal amount of torque. Flat powerband, very responsive motor. The handling is outstanding though. R |
