Going to be a hell of a bike...I would imagine they'll find great success with it.

Desmosedici FTW!!!
What's sweet is that last years Desmo GP06 bike is almost identical to the new 1200 Ducati has out this year.

Besides the fact that it was a 990.... and it was a L4.... and it has about 250hp.... and it has a different frame, swingarm, body work, wheels, tires, electronics, suspension, transmission, cooling system..... if you overlook those than yes.... they are basically the same.

Ducati designed both bikes with similar geometry. Of course it can't be the same because according to MotoGP rules, the bikes can not be similar to any of the company's production bikes. Yamaha found out the hard way when they tried to used a modified R1 motor and some other stuff before the designed the YZR-M1. Ducati designed the new 1200cc bike with the same goal in mind, same geometry, and besides all the race and one-off parts, it's identical. I know people are gonna take this out of context, but some people might get what I mean by that.

Well you can't really look at it like that. The cbr1000rr is "according to honda"
"designed from the RC211V"... so that would make it "exactly the same" which we all know its not.
Plus it's not a 1200 yet.... they can't even test the 1188 or whatever the hell the motor is yet because WSBK won't let them as of right now because they haven't decided on regulations. Not that it really matter cause bayliss already put down times 2 seconds faster then any other rider at phillip island on last years 999r F06.....
I'm sure Bayliss will spank once again on the new ducati.

Bayliss is a great rider and like Valentino Rossi up to 05, showed nothing but raw talent. Rossi seems to be doing too many things at once and in return, his job is suffering. We'll see how this season's events go. WSBK FTW!

Personally I think Bayliss could dominate motogp and rossi for that matter if he ever returned. Judging by the last race of the year Bayliss returned to fill in for an injured rider and won the race on the Ducati. He's most likely more comfortable in WSBK than he is in Motogp... which is why hes so good. It'll be a good year and I expect the same thing from Biaggi.... even though he sucked in motogp like Bayliss, he might come out of his shell in WSBK...
SO CLOSE!!!!!!!
