Celtic1982citleC is an unknown quantity at this point

Thanks for deleting my post. Shit like this makes me not even want to come on here and contribute anymore. It's absolutely worthless.

Dont forget... endo + drop may = bent fork which would cost more to fix than a ~15 year old katana is worth

ceebee could handle any older 600... He has a brain attached to his right hand. I would venture to say an old katana 600 or 750 is a good choice for Chris for a season. Just gotta make sure you dont push a cheap bike too hard... there is a reason it is cheap!

FWIW, a F4i is a high 10 second bike... as fast in a straight line as an 01 GSX-R 600, and hondas quickest 600 until the 03 RR.
A FZ6 and a YZR 600 are low-mid 11 second bikes...

I would be more concerned with the bike's rideabilty than its 1/4 mile time....they are all very fast...

an older zx-6r would be nice too... Honestly I would try to stay away from the katanas in general....I've heard a lot of bad stuff about them.

Its not like I have my heart set on a katana, like the title of the thread says, I am just looking for a cheap bike to start off with because I don't really have much money right now.

If I come across anything on the bike forums that I'm on, I'll let you know. An older YZF for like 2500-3000 would be a great starter bike. I could open that up wide open and it won't pick up the front end under power, which means its a nice average torque curve.

Well I am now one step closer. I just got back from the DMV and now have my learner's permit. The test was a joke.
