So does anyone know a good place to look for a real cheap, running, beginners bike? I am thinking early 90's ninja or katana or something similar. I am thinking of taking my learner's permit test this weekend and then the MSF course later this summer and it would be nice to have a real cheap bike to practice on between then, plus it would give me time to save up for a better bike.
I am actually waiting on some pics from someone on ride-ny of her old 90 katana 600. She said it was dropped once doing an endo so the headlight was broken, scraped plastic and front fender is cracked. She also said it has low miles so I want to take a look at the pics to see what it may be worth.
What are you looking to spend? I've heard bad things about katana's from some people who rode them...
As little as possible. I am not looking for a bike that will last me years and years. I am looking for something dirt cheap that runs so I can ride in between my permit and MSF course and then give me time to save up for a better bike. So, I really would like to spend $1k or less.
my brother just picked up an mid-early 80s honda sport bike for 200 bucks, it was my uncles and it was maintained flawlessly, he got an awesome deal, it his first bike, i want one now real bad
