Another rider down...
Yesterday, a friend of mine, Rob, got hit by a car who was not paying attention, and was only concerned with obviously getting to target as fast as possible. Rob was killed. I have been out with Rob several times, and he was always a safe rider. It is very unfortunate.

Sorry to hear that. She must have hit him pretty good if he died on the scene. Typically you think when you are pulling into a parking lot you are going fairly slow. (Unless he was hauling)

thats terrible...
The article says that they are still trying to determine who is at fault... is there any update on this? From what you said it sounds like the car was at fault. Is that quote from someone that actually saw it happen?

I'm pretty sure they've determined it was her fault, as she was cited for a failure to yield ticket.

If failure to yield is the best they can come up with for what should be considered involuntary vehicular manslaughter then that just shows you how far gone our legal system really is.

sorry to hear, same thing happened to my dad when i was 5, lady pulled out and he t boned her, he broke both his legs and one of his arms, he was lucky, and never got back on a bike again. Thats why i dont have a bike, i trust myself, i just dont trust everyone else
