In AZ there is a healthy (no pun intended) population of people who solely rely on bikes (read bicycles) as their primary mode of transportation, so I would assume a motorcycle could easily be used year round. Just check out how elaborate your areas public transportation is and if you could rely on it to get you from a-b on those few rainy weather days a year.

On another note dont get stuck out in one of these though:
