im glad you recognize that im awesome. hahaha. well happy early b-day.
What kinda bikes are you girls looking into....I have an 03 R6 lowered 3inches in the rear....1.5 in the front...I already have to go over speed bumps at an angle so I don't bottom out. It sucks. I'm 5'1 1/2. GSX-R 600 have the Lowest seat height of the 600 class....if it wasn't for the single headlight I would have got one of those. Just be careful...lowered bikes handle like CRAP! I started riding the bike with it at stock height and I kept tipping when I stopped cause i could barely touch the ground...than went to 1inch in the front and 1 in the rear ( NOT IN THE BUTT..REAR OF THE BIKE lol). I was still on my tippy toes...but when I went all the way w/ the 3 in the rear and all we can safely do ( safely for the bike) is 1.5 in the front....the bike handled drastically different, the front end feels so heavy! But if you start riding on a already lowered bike it won't seem to be such a drastic change in the handling...but other people who have been on my bike compare it to handling similar to a chopper. Ick
It's not a great pic....but this shows you the lack of ground clearance.
It was all tied up for a long trip to and from Ohio...went out the see AMA Superbike races and took the kids w/ us.
i was actually very surprised about my 600rr... the seat is real low compared to brians 07' r6. handles like a dream too. of course i am 6'3" and stand flat footed without even touching the bike really...casey, see if hoffey will sell u his bike.. that thing is lowered within an inch of its life..lol

I'm not sure what I'm going to be looking into - definetly not a 600 yet - I'm not an experienced rider and am thinking a 250 will do me fine for now... And yeah you're probably right, I probalby won't notice if I start riding on a lowered bike which is what I definetly plan on doing. Being 4'10" doesn't give me many options for riding other people's bikes and I don't plan on riding before it's comfortable for me. But I'm doing research now... and by next spring I'll probably be buying one.

yeah the reason the newer r6's seem so high is because the width of the seat is more than most other 600's, so your legs have to actually go out and then down
@ 4'10 a 250 may even need to be lowered a little, there is a girl around Rochester, who had to lower her 250.
And to 1320/Mike...the 06/7 R6 have a SUPER high seat height ...highest in its class and the way its shaped doesn't help at all, the bike is a very race inspired bike...the way you practically lay on the tank etc. I find them very uncomfortable

why do you think i'm the 3rd best rider in rochester then?
lol yes being short is going to pose a little bit of a problem... but definetly not something that hasn't been done before which is reassuring. hahaha. I always used to think being short was awesome... and cheaper because I can wear kids clothes and shoes LOL... until I decided I wanted a bike. Turned that thought around real quick, but it'll be fine, I'll figure it out. lol
