Exactly. Which is going to be my biggest hurdle... Unless I'm on open road with a monkey to hold the bike up for me. hahaha.

Exactly. So if someone wants to buy the monkey and pay to train him to hold the bike up when i stop im all set... until then I'll have to find a small bike and lower it.

SV650s is a good starter bike...and even if u get decnet ucan ride that threw twisties and if your good enough keep up and beat alot of other bigger bikers
I'm 5'1 1/2 and I can't even tippy toe on an R1. My bf has an 02. And like Mike said throttle control has nothing to do with not being tall enough to touch the ground and hold the bike up, let alone move it to back up etc. The GSXR has the lowest seat height in the 600 class. They are great for short people. A gsxr lowered 1 inch is equal to my r6 lowered 3 inches. Atleast for me.

I could only assume you will get it lowered by a bike shop, but if you weren't, do so. Lowering the bike changes the dynamics of the bike, and could cause you a serious accident. You also run in to issues with clearance, kickstand, etc. If lowered too much and you hit a bump, the front fender can jam in to the bike and lock up the tire.

If you are 5'5 ish or over I'd highly recommend not lowering it, or lower it a very small amount till you can flat foot one of your feet without throwing the bike off balance.

Getting the bike lowered by a shop, or getting the bike lowered by someone who knows what they are doing are the same thing, just having someone you know do it is a hell of a lot cheaper. Mike lowered by bike both times,as well as cut and re welded my kick stand he knows what he is doing. And I guess you didn't read the whole thread silly Adam, the girl is 4'10, and I already explained the problems with a lowered bike. But she is screwed either way, she will need to lower her bike.

I just skimmed though it honestly, and Mike used to work at a shop so of course I'd trust he knows what he's doing.

Or you can rock it Berto style!

Friggin midgets I tells ya.
