Dynoed my R6 today :)

Dynoed my R6 today

As you can see, it made 107.9hp, not too bad imo...

They guy who dynoed it said that it made more than most of the bikes in the area with the same mods. I think they were making around 100 hp. He was also saying that if I were to get a PCIII I'd be able to smooth out the curve somewhat.

yea at higher rpm's if your at open throttle you will def smooth that out with a PCIII it plugs into your secondary injectors but you will only notice the difference at full throttle at higher then 5K rpms otherwise to be honest with you its pointless to get a power commander unless you always ride at full throttle b/c your secondary injectors dont kick in unless your hammering on it...thats my

Really? I was under the impression it would help the partial throttle response also because they would take a map and tune it custom for me. I figure it'll add a few horsies too, but there's not too much I can do as far as adding power. I'm going to put a set of race take-offs and some other mods over the winter...

I'll have to talk more with the guy that dynoed it. He's part of a local race team of 4 guys, all yamaha. Regardless, I think my bike made enough power so I probably wouldn't do anything more power-wise

Those are pretty impressive numbers. I think the SV dynos around the same for torque, but I am nowhere near 108hp.

Moon Performance is on a distinguished road

Mike, ill tune your bike for you, not a problem, thing i find most of the time with pcIIIr's is that they are installed on the secondary injectors by mistake, they go on the primaries, i make a few whp on the bikes i tune, but hesitation and response and smoothness go way way up. the maps included with the pc3's are total 100% junk and after having seen numerous dyno pulls on harleys to race bikes, tuning always helps.

ciao!
