anyone have or now where I could purchase a carb balancer for a good price?...I will be taking my carb apart soon off my 95 GSX-R to clean the jets and would like to balance it while I'm at it.
If you're just looking for something to sync the carbs you can make one pretty easy. I made mine for about $10 in parts over 15 years ago and have been using it for bikes/sleds for that long. It's just as accurate as my Carbtune 2.
As long as your carbs have a port to attach a vacuum line to it's easy to make one.

Thank you for that advice, I was actually considering getting a Carbtune 2, but I'm just going to make my own for $1.55 + tax!
For the liquid, use either pure glycol or a very light mineral oil dyed with some food coloring(preferred) for the fluid medium in the tubing. They're both the perfect weight to move properly while adjusting the carbs and can be seen easily. Don't use water or heavy oil, they too light/heavy to get a consistent signal from the vacuum pulses.

Too thick, doesn't seem like it would be but is. Olive oil works though, about the same viscosity as mineral oil. I like using mineral oil as you can dye it with food coloring so it's easier to see. Not sure if olive oil will take a dye or not. Glycol(coolant) is already green and works well.

ok thanks...so any coolant will pretty much work as long as its not a 50/50 mix?

Correct Standard(green) glycol stands out the best against the marks on the tool you make and thus is easier to read when adjusting the carbs/throttle bodies.
