Went riding for a solid 4.5 hours today, got about 100 miles covered, taking stops here and there. Went from Caz to Erieville, to Nelson, back to Caz, to Chittenango, to Oneida Lake, to Oneida, back to Chittenango to Caz for those CNY locals.
My 3rd time riding my brothers Bandit, once in a bit lot, once aroudn the roads by my house, so id say it was a pretty big day for me, haha.
Def. road like a grandma, with a 07 R1, 08 CBR1000RR, and a 87 NInja 750, so I was holding those experienced riders back, but they didnt seem to mind to much I guess. Just took it easy, cornering is something I need to work on big time, I seem to go to slow, but its my first trek out. Also a big thing I hated, maybe its just me not being used to it, but I was getting blown all over by the wind once I got up to speed 50-60ish, i dunno if today was a semi windy day or not....but something I will need to get used to.
Overall pretty happy, not gonna quit yet, just need to keep getting some more hours/miles under my belt, and will be signing up for the MSF when I get my first paycheck.
Also managed to get pulled over an hour into our riding, when leaving my buddies house which is in the middle of no where, we all accelerated to 70ish, my buddie on the new CBR was up on one wheel during first, not fully on it like he has done, but cops got called and we all got pulled over and lectures, no tickets, still an annoying. Guess thats what you get with bitchy country folk and kid who is a nut on a bike.

Went out a little bit today, nothing nuts, 2 short treks. Although I left to go to a bon fire tonight, and when I got back to my buddies, it looked like a bomb went off in a deer on the road, guts and blood everywhere.
Got a phone call 30 min later saying he hit a deer on his R1 and its totalled, dont know the story other then he has a broken arm and some road rash. Hopefully have some pics and know more tomorrow. Pretty crappy.

Went out riding again today. Road my brother bike for most of the ride, then my buddie let me try out his 03 CBR600 F4i
Definately completely different to go from the Bandit to a real sport bike. The low end torque, which is kinda jerky thanks to the aftermarket sproket on the Bandit makes it a rough ride sometimes if your not perfect ona nd off the throttle, the CBR seemed much more forgiving. I did stall a couple times, as the clucth engagement on the CBR was much more "on/off", so if you didnt give it gas, it wasnt going anywhere, also a change from the bandit.
The sportbike setup on the CBR is a little nut crunching, but i feel more part of the bike when riding around, taking turns, accelerating, etc. Didnt get to ride any constant speed so im not sure how the wind feels on that. Hopefully I can order my jacket soon so I can loose the leather parachute im wearing now.
I think I would be good on a CBR if I stayed below 9k untill I am more ready to handle the brute force that bikle has to offer. WHich I think I am more then smart enought to not be dumb on the road. Just need to practice holding my lane position during a turn better, and taking turns at a higher speed,........gettin there one ride at a time I guess.
Also still planning on the MSF this aug/sept, but debating picking up a bike sooner.
