Retro Jets chopper article finally came out

Well the article came out in the magazine. I'm not 100% pleased with it but that's life and best for future discussion. Figured I'd at least post it here so people can see, even though I no longer work for ERTR as subcontractor. Feb '09 issue of EasyRiders Magazine, page 74. Apparently there is also an article in NY Rider magazine as well, but I haven't read it and don't know if it's a repeat of this same article or not.

Enjoy

Gee. You get named... once. At the end. Like you said, an item for future discussion.
On the upside, it's a BEAUTIFUL piece of craftsmanship, Adam. I especially love the nod to an inverted F15 style intake scoop where the chain's path is. Nicely done!

Thank you for noticing the lack of mentioning issue. Future discussion begins....now It does sort of bug me a bit. I'm not pointing a finger at anyone who was part of this article at all(especially Pete) because in the end it's over and done with and cannot be changed. I know Pete did and would not have gone out of his way to intentionally leave me out of this article. It's just appears that at least an effort was not made and that's what's annoying. I spent a demanding amount of time on that bike. All wiring/plumbing/routing, and vast portion of the assembly, component design and setup(all the gadgetry, misc components, and illumination), and 'initial CAD setup according to Pete's designs". Most of the CNC'ed components were designed by me(wheels WERE Petes design). Spacers, brackets, pegs and associated components, turbines and bearing systems/inlets, wheel hub spacers/finish caps, nitrous brackets, on and on and on.

I will never take the limelight away from Pete because in the end it is his business that revolves around this bike, not mine. But it would have been nice to have at least been mentioned for doing/creating/designing the stuff I did that would have certaily helped me in mine as well. A brief metion of me in the credits and a picture on one page doesn't assit me in that matter. This bike was a joint colaboration between Pete and myself and it would not be what it is if it wasn't for both of us. I could never have done it myself, but on the flip neither could he(to this extent).

If anythign I still get to sleep at night knowing that in this lifetime I had a major hand in buidling a $220,000 piece of machinery in the form of this. I still think about the bike time to time and is one fo those things I can just stare at day in and day out and say to myself, "Now that's a good F-ing job right there!"

And so I rest my case.
