Yea I gotta throw a few jabs out there now and then, keeps me in the game.
Formula is fun but SPEC racing in general is a blast and getting into a cheaper realm is the best place to start. FSR is a good one if you can find a chassis cheap as they no longer produce new chassis(unless you own a VIN tag). Formula get really expensive, you should see the pile of crumpled control arms in my garage from my sisters last season where she rented out the car to other people. Gotta be $5K in scrap chromoly parts sitting in that box, not to mention the mangled centerlock that's a wall piece in my garage now...
Avoid SPEC Miata at first. That's got to be the most saturated of all spec classes out there. Every race is like watching a pissed off bees nest chasing down one car around the track. I remember watching one race at WGI a few years back on the GS roof, 60+ cars grouped within 30 seconds of each other. Sound like a swarm of bees coming down the straight, then dead silence, then back again.
